Guidelines for Abstract Preparations
The abstracts which are written in English, must have been "Microsoft Word" (*.doc) version.
 
The abstracts should be sent to necmiaksoy@duzce.edu.tr until on 25th September 2015.
 
 Abstracts must be submitted electronically by attaching a Microsoft Word document with the abstract to an email message. The email must include the information:
 
 
Email subject line: Indicate the specific thematic session  and specify if you are submitting a Poster or Paper abstract e.g.: Culture and applications of yew trees- Paper.

Address
Telephone
Preferred email address
Attached abstract following the specified guidelines

Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will be 20 minutes (15 minutes for the presentation and 3-5 minutes for questions and discussion). Presentation time limits will be strictly enforced.
 
Posters guidelines
Posters are strongly encouraged as they allow extended informal discussions and active participation of co-authors. The programme will make allowance for one or two poster sessions depending on the number of submissions and time available. Only 5 minutes for presentation of the main findings will be allowed, followed by a general discussion and question session at the end of a session. (No more than 4 slides illustrating the main findings e.g. a title slide, a background slide with the aim and methods, a result slide and a conclusion slide).
 
 
General guidelines for posters:
 
  • Poster size: ONLY PORTRAIT A0 = Width 841mm; Height 1 189 mm.
  • Include your name, address, contact details, and if possible a small photo of yourself.
  • A viewer should be able to read and understand the poster in less than two minutes.
 
 
Abstract Content and Style
 
Each submitted abstract must include the following and adhere to these guidelines:
  • Format - Develop the abstract in Microsoft Word in a Windows format, using the Normal page margin settings (2.54 cm) and Arial, 10 point font. All spacing within the title/author area, abstract body and conference topic should be single-spaced and separated from each other by one space.
 
  • Title – (centred, bold) The title must be in sentence case.
 
  • Author(s) – (centred, bold) List the full first name followed by initials and last names of each author. Underline the presenting author
 
  • Affiliation information of each author - (centred italics) Use numeric superscript to identify multiple authors with different affiliations (follow format below). Do not use superscripts for single authors or multiples from the same affiliation.
 
  • Presenter's contact information – (centred) name, address, phone number, email.
 
  • Body of Abstract – (justified) Abstracts must not exceed 250 words. Abstracts longer than 250 words will be rejected. Emphasize the results of a study or the practical application of a management project or programme. If there is more than one paragraph, single space between paragraphs and do not indent.
 
  • Proposed Sub Themes Thematic Symposia
- Identify the proposed theme(s) under which you think this presentation best fits.
  • Ecology
  • Management and preservation
  • Culture and applications of yew trees
 
Efforts will be made to accommodate all contributions related to the main theme, but should a larger number of topics be received, presentations will be selected on the basis of the relevance to the thematic symposia presented.
 
Please note: The scientific committee will review the abstract for final approval. The committee will not review any data presented in the abstracts.
 
If your abstract is accepted, you will be provided further information on operating system requirements for your presentation, instructions on getting your presentation loaded, etc.  Microsoft PowerPoint is strongly preferred for oral presentations.
